Champions Sports Journal is committed to upholding academic integrity and ensuring that all published articles are the original work of the authors. Therefore, this journal enforces a strict policy against plagiarism in any form.

1. Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism is the act of taking or using someone else's work without proper credit. Plagiarism in academic publications may include:

  • Direct plagiarism: Copying text, images, tables, or data from other sources without permission or proper citation.
  • Partial plagiarism: Combining multiple sources without referencing them or slightly modifying words without providing clear attribution.
  • Self-plagiarism: Reusing part or all of one’s previously published work without citing the original publication or obtaining permission from the previous publisher.
  • Salami slicing: Dividing the same research findings into multiple articles with minor modifications to increase publication count.

2. Plagiarism Check

  • All manuscripts submitted to Champions Sports Journal will be checked using plagiarism detection software (such as Turnitin or iThenticate).
  • Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 20% will be returned to the authors for revision or directly rejected if severe plagiarism is detected.

3. Consequences of Violations

If plagiarism is detected, the following actions will be taken:

  • Minor plagiarism (<20%) → Authors will be asked to revise and provide proper citations.
  • Moderate plagiarism (20–40%) → The manuscript will be returned for major revisions and must undergo a re-review process.
  • Severe plagiarism (>40%) → The manuscript will be rejected, and the authors may be banned from submitting articles to this journal for a certain period.
  • If plagiarism is detected after publication, the article will be retracted and marked with a warning in the journal archive.

4. Prevention and Author Responsibility

  • Authors must ensure that their submitted manuscript is original and properly written without copying others’ work.
  • All cited sources must be appropriately referenced following the journal’s citation format.
  • If authors wish to reuse material from previous publications (such as images or tables), they must obtain permission from the original publisher and provide clear attribution.

By implementing this policy, Champions Sports Journal aims to uphold academic integrity and enhance the quality of publications in the field of sports coaching.
